Vodafone made the first UK mobile call on 1st January, 1985. In their first 15 years, Vodafone have become the largest company in Europe by market capitalisation and the largest telecommunications company of its kind globally. They have a customer base of over 95 million and interests in network operators across 28 countries.

As an update to the previous message - Vodafone have now contacted me stating that I never returned the handset and to provide proof that they collected it - which I have done and still heard nothing. I also forgot to mention that they now want £93 from me for 'costs' during the contract. Funny that, when I only had the phone/contract 10 days. Avoid these guys, it's really not worth the hassle!

Watch out for the 'hiked' charges and bad signal level with Vodafone. I got a contract for 18 months but decided to send the phone back and cancel within the 14 days cooling period as a result of awful signal levels.
